Deduction of structural information of interfacial proteins by combined vibrational spectroscopic methods

Article Abstract:

The combination of vibrational spectroscopic techniques is used to study the structural information of interfacial proteins and peptides. The development of nonlinear vibrational spectroscopies has helped in understanding the structures and the functions of proteins and peptides at interfaces.

Sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy studies of protein adsorption on oxide-covered Ti surfaces

Article Abstract:

The protein adsorption on native oxide-covered polycrystalline Ti surfaces is analyzed using the sum frequency generation (SFG) vibrational spectroscopy. The SFG results suggest that structures of adsorbed protein molecules change during the adsorption process.

Correlation and cross-linking effects in imprinting sites for divalent adsorption in gels

Article Abstract:

A method to mimic active sites in proteins by chemical imprinting of p-valent templates in heteropolymer gels is examined. However, adsorber pairs are predominantly located on the same polymer chain, posing a challenge to mimicking protein like function.
