Disorder in zeolite SSZ-31 described on the basis of one-dimensional building units

Article Abstract:

A new approach to describe the disorder in zeolite SSZ-31 is presented on the basis of one-dimensional units consisting of tubular pores. Simulation of the X-ray diffraction patterns of disordered structures indicates that SSZ-31 is even a more disordered structure. The disorder does not block the pores and the local pore topology is the same in all (disordered) models.

Paramagnetic effect of oxygen in the (super 23)Na MAS NMR and (super23)Na MQMAS NMR spectroscopy of zeolite LiNaX

Article Abstract:

An investigation of the paramagnetic effects of oxygen molecules on the sodium in zeolite LiNaX is presented using variable-temperature (super 23)Na MAS NMR and (super23)Na MQMAS NMR. The results indicated that using adsorbed oxygen to discriminate between accessible sodium cations is difficult.

Synthesis and structural characterization of iridium clusters formed inside and outside the pores of zeolite NaY

Article Abstract:

Zeolite NaY-supported Ir4(CO12) was synthesized by deposition on the outside surface of the zeolite crystals and by reductive carbonylation of Ir(CO2)(acac) sorbed in its pores. The results demonstrate stabilization of molecular clusters entrapped in the pores.
