Dissociative electron attachment to gas- and condensed-phase CF3Cl: anion desorption and trapping

Article Abstract:

A study examined dissociative electron attachment to gas-phase and condensed-phase CF3Cl. In particular, this research investigated electron interaction in the energy range from almost zero to 10 electronvolt with CF3Cl physisorbed on a krypton surface and compared with earlier gas-phase experiments on isolated molecules and CF3Cl clusters. Findings on ion desorption from condensed CF3Cl and absolute attachment cross sections were discussed.

Low energy electron interactions with uracil: the energies predicted by theory

Article Abstract:

The potential energy surfaces (PEEs) representing the valence-bound anions, are investigated using the DFT calculations, are characterized in order to understand the dissociation of uracil induced by low energy electrons (LEEs). The results indicate that the shapes of the PES calculated in this work for the pi intersection with an antibonding sigma state are pertinent to condensed media.

Anion fragment in 5-halouracil films induced by 1-20 eV impact

Article Abstract:

The measurements of electron-induced dissociation of 5-haloracils in the condensed phase for incident electron energies are presented. The dissociative electron attachment to the molecules leads to molecule fragmentation into the anion fragments.
