Effect of colloidal catalysis on the nanoparticle size distribution: dendrimer-Pd vs PVP-Pd nanoparticles catalyzing the Suzuki coupling reaction

Article Abstract:

The stability and catalytic activity of PAMAM-OH generation 4 dendrimer-capped Pd nanoparticles are examined and compared to those of the PVP-Pd nanoparticles. Thus, the ways in which the method of synthesizing the nanoparticles affects the particle growth process, how the capping agent affects the mechanism of the reaction, and how the size of the nanoparticles during the second cycle of the reaction affects the biphenyl product yield, are studied.

Some new insights into the sensing mechanism of palladium promoted tin (IV) oxide sensor

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted, by using the combination of techniques including switching experiments, temperature programmed reduced and in situ neutron scattering-conductivity, to investigate the sensing mechanism of 1 percent Pd/SnO2 toward hydrogen-containing gas mixtures. Direct evidence is obtained on a reversible migration of hydrogenic species from and to the metal and the underlying tin oxide surface.

Direct structural and chemical analysis of individual core-shell (Pd, Sn) nanocolloids

Article Abstract:

The palladium-tin nanocolloids were analyzed with high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and electron energy-loss spectroscopy. It was established that the colloids consist of a core of a Pd(sub x)Sn(sub 1-x) alloy, with x ranging from 0.6 to 1.
