Electrochemical and Photoelectrochemical Properties of New Hybrid Langmuir-Blodgett Films Containing Prussian Blue and a Tris (bipyridine) Ruthenium Derivative

Article Abstract:

The elaboration of new Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films containing Prussian blue and a surfactant derivative of the ruthenium tris (bipyridine) complex using a semi-amphiphilic approach is described and the redox and photoelectrochemical properties of these hybrid lamellar materials are studied in aqueous KCI solutions. A very large cathodic photocurrent is recorded when they are irradiated with polychromatic light at a negative applied potential.

Rate-determining step in the electrogenerated chemiluminescence from tertiary amines with tris(2,2-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II)

Article Abstract:

The rates and mechanism of coreactant electrogenerated chemilunescence (ECL) from tris(2,2-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) and the tertiary amines, tripropylamine and trimethylamine in aqueous solution are investigated. Transient potential steps are used with microelectrodes to investigate the emission time course under a variety of solution conditions.

Voltammetric and impedance analysis of dimethyldioctadecylammonium/Prussian Blue Langmuir-Blodgett films on ITO electrodes

Article Abstract:

Cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy have been used to investigate new hybrid Langmuir-Blodgett films containing Prussian Blue. The electrochemical coverage obtained by integration of the area of the CV peaks corresponds with one single layer of FeII-FeIII.
