Electrochemical properties of Langmuir-Blodgett mixed films consisting of a water-soluble porphyrin and a phospholipid

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the electrochemical characteristics of Langmuir-Blodgett mixed films supporting a water-soluble porphyrin and a phospholipid. The porphyrin molecules in the films were encapsulated between the electrode surface and the phospholipid monolayer. In addition, the surface films were transferred from the air-water interface onto a solid support using a Lauda Filmwaage FW2 Langmuir balance.

Ternary porphyrin aggregates and their chiral memory

Article Abstract:

The self-aggregation of tetracationic porphyrin meso-tetrakis(N-methylpyridinium-4-yl)porphinatocopper(II) (CuT4) onto a chiral polymeric matrix (polyglutamic acid, PG) as well as mixtures of tetracationic (CuT4) and tetraanionic, meso-tetrakisporphine(H4TPPS), porphyrins onto the same PG matrix as a funtion of Ph, temperature ionic strength, and rectant concentration is investigated.

Characterization and structure of molecular aggregates of a tetracationic porphyrin in LB films with a lipid anchor

Article Abstract:

The formation of the different aggregates of a water-soluble tetracationic porphyrin, TMPyP, anchored to an anionic phospholipid matrix, DMPA, and assembled in LB films is investigated. The Langmuir-Blodgett technique using mixed films containing a water-soluble porphyrin and a phospholipid anchor is successful for the control of the orientation and aggregation of the porphyrin.
