Kinetics of Cu under potential deposition on iodine-modified Au(111) electrodes

Article Abstract:

Chronoamperometry (CA) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) were used to characterize the kinetic mechanism of Cu UPD. CV results indicated a stable iodine adlayer, even after several Cu deposition cycles, requiring a high positive potential when surface oxidation takes place.

The relationship between the surface composition and electrical properties of corrosion films formed on carbon steel in alkaline sour medium: An XPS and EIS study

Article Abstract:

The evolution of 1018 carbon steel surfaces during 3-15 day immersion in alkaline sour medium 0.1 M [(N[H.sub.4]).sub.2]S and 10 ppm C[N.sup.-] as (NaCN) is explored. The characterization of these surfaces has provided the description of electrical and chemical properties of the films of corrosion products formed at the 1018 steel surface.
