Electron magnetic resonance studies on the photoinduced charge separation of N-methylphenothiazine in the gel matrixes of phenyltriethoxysilane, vinyltriethoxysilane, and methyltriethoxysilane

Article Abstract:

The photoproduced cation radical of N-methylphenothiazine PC1 doped into phenyltriethoxysilane (PhiTEOS), vinyltriethoxysilane (VTEOS), and methyltriethoxysilane (METOS) was studied with electron spin resonance electron nuclear double resonance. It is used to determine the amount of photoproduced radical yields by integration of the spectra and to identify the photoproduced radicals by hyperfine and g-factor parameter of the produced radicals.

Are the experimentally determined microviscosities of the micelles probe dependent?

Article Abstract:

Rotational diffusion of two dissimilar probes, 2,5-dimethyl-1,4-dioxo-3,6-diphenylpyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole (DMDPP) and coumarin 6 (C6), is investigated in small aqueous micelles formed with many surfactants using the time-resolved fluorescence depolarization method. The decay of anisotropy for both the probes in all the micelles could be adequately described by a sum of two exponentials with slow and fast time constants.
