Electron spin resonance and electron echo modulation studies of adsorbate interactions with cupric ion on the aluminum content in Cu-AIMCM-41 materials

Article Abstract:

A new study uses electron spin resonance and electron spin echo modulation to investigate the catalytic potential of metal ions in two types of Cu-AIMCM-41 materials, including their interactions with adsorbates and the characterization of their environment.

Structure and adsorbate interactions of vanadium in a vanadium silicate (VS-1) molecular sieve

Article Abstract:

A medium pore vanadium silicate molecular sieve VS-1 with the ZSM-5 structure was studied by electron spin resonance (ESR) and electron spin-echo modulation (ESEM) spectroscopies to determine the vanadium structure and interaction with various adsorbate molecules. As-synthesized VS-1 contains two VO(super 2+) species with distorted octahedral coordination.

Electron spin resonance and electron spin echo modulation studies on reducibility, location, and adsorbate interactions of Ni(I) in Ni(II)-exchanged SAPO-34

Article Abstract:

The reducibility, location, and adsorbate interactions of Ni(I) in Ni(II)-exchanged silicoaluminophosphate (SAPO)-34 was investigated using electron spin resonance and electron spin echo modulation spectroscopies. The extraframework sites of SAPO-34 was introduced with Ni(II) through partial ion exchange of H(I) by Ni(II). Results showed that several factors such as structure types and pretreatment conditions determine the location of Ni(I) ions and how they interact with adsorbates in molecular sieves.
