Evaporation-controlled self-assembly of silica surfactant mesophases

Article Abstract:

A reference solution is used with a chemical composition leading to the formation of thin films with a 3D hexagonal mesostructure by dip coating. It is shown that evaporation rate of the solvent is one of the key parameters that control the final mesosrtucture and can under certain conditions promote the formation of the cubic mesophase.

Order-disorder transition and evolution of silica structure in self-assembled mesostructured silica films studied through FTIR spectroscopy

Article Abstract:

The evolution of silica network was studied by synthesizing silica mesoporous thin films with a self-assembling process using Fourier Transformed Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The result showed several overlapped absorption band associated with disorder-order transition in the silica structure.

Structure and polyphenylvinylene concentration effect on the photoconductivity response from mesostructured silica films

Article Abstract:

The development of mesostructured sol-gel silica thin films is made for the first time. The main aim of this study is to conduct photoconductivity on these films, the procedures and results indicating a critical polymer concentration in the sodium sulfate (SDS)-templated sol-gel films samples.
