Excited-state dynamics in CdS quantum dots adsorbed on a metal electrode

Article Abstract:

A time resolved, optoelectronic spectroscopic method was used in a study to investigate the excited-state dynamics in CdS quantum dots adsorbed as a monolayer on a metal electrode used as a working electrode in a three-electrode electrochemical cell. Among other results, it was found that the sub-bandgap luminescence reported for Q-CdS results from an electronic transition from a bandgap state to the HOMO state. Experimental methodology and conclusions are also discussed.

Characterization of photoinduced electron tunneling in gold/SAM/Q-CdSe systems by time-resolved photoelectrochemistry

Article Abstract:

Colloidal CdSe quantum dots were chemisorbed on a gold electrode using a variety of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) consisting of dithiols and rigid disulfides. The rate of photoinduced tunneling was measured directly by intensity-modulated photocurrent spectroscopy (IMPS), and its distance dependence was studied using rigid SAMs separating the Q-CdSe and Au.

Nonlinear time-series analysis of photoinduced fluorescence oscillation in a water dispersion of colloidal quantum dots

Article Abstract:

Photoinduced fluorescence oscillation observed in water dispersion of Cdse/ZnS/core/shell quantum dots (QDs) is reported. Results indicate that fluorescence oscillation is governed by nonlinear dynamics.
