FRANCE: RESHUFFLE AT SOLVAY FRANCE

Solvay has transferred its carbonates branch to Solvay Carbonate France, increasing its capital to EUR 9.1mn and has made Olivier Monfort its new Managing Director. The new Managing Director at Solvay Electrolyse France is Jean-Michel Mesland and it has raised its capital to EUR 10.6mn with the transfer of its activity. Solvay Advanced Polymers France has raised its capital to EUR 3mn and nominated Vincenzo Morici as its new President. Solvay Olefines France has made Pierre Joris its new Managing Director.

Dominique Huillard has been named president of Shell Polymeres, taking over from Pierre Moreau. Shell Polymeres, has a capital stock of FFr 182.35mn, and is located at Reuil-Malmaison. It has contributed its Berre polyvinyl chloride production unit to Jasmin at Puteaux. Jasmin's name has been changed to Vinylberre and its capital stock increased from FFr 0.25mn to FFr 215.25mn.

Jean-Jaques Pigeon has been replaced as Chairman at both Shell Operations Chimiques, by Gerard Joly, and at Shell Polymeres, by Charles Broussard. Michael Boersma has also been replaced as Chairman of Shell LPG Europe, by Petrus Waaijer.
