FRANCE: SYNGENTA CREATES 2 FRENCH SUBSIDIARIES

Article Abstract:

Syngenta France had to cut 232 jobs, and will move to its new head office at Saint-Cyr l'Ecole in February 2001. The head office of the parent Syngenta company is at Basel. On 25 June 2001, Syngenta installed two specialised French subsidiaries: Syngenta Seeds, which posted EUR 150mn in sales in 2000 with a workforce of 462 people, and Syngenta Agro, which posted a consolidated turnover of EUR 610mn in 2000 with a workforce of 530 people.

FRANCE: J-L GERODIAS HEADS NEW FERTIVA FRANCE

Article Abstract:

Jean-Luc Gerodias is president of the newly-created Fertiva France, sales company for products for fertilising, cultivating, and caring for crops and plants. Kassel's subsidiary K+S Beteiligungs holds all of this new company, which has EUR 250,000 in equity. Fertiva France is located at the BASF France head office at 49 avenue Georges Pompidou at Levallois-Perret .
