MoS(sub 2) nanostructures: Synthesis and electrochemical Mg(super 2+) intercalation

Article Abstract:

MoS(sub 2) nanostructures including hollow-cage fullerene-like particles, fibrous floccus, and spherical nanovesicles are synthesized by designed solution chemical reactions of Na(sub 2)MoO(sub 4) and sulfurization reagents. The electrochemical properties of annealed MoS(sub 2) samples are investigated as Mg(super 2+) ions showed better reversibly intercalation/deintercalation cycles in as-synthesized MoS(sub 2) nanostructures than in bulk MoS(sub 2) samples.

Adlayers of Sb irreversibly adsorbed on Pt(111): An electrochemical scanning tunneling microscopy study

Article Abstract:

An electrochemical scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) is used to study the adlayers of Sb irreversibly adsorbed on Pt(111) at various potentials. The changes in the voltammograms of irreversibly adsorbed Sb on Pt(111) are described in conjunction with the electrochemical scanning tunneling microscopy (EC-STM).
