Full determination of zero field splitting tensor of the excited triplet state of C(sub 60) derivatives of arbitrary symmetry from high field TREPR in liquid crystals

Article Abstract:

Time-resolved EPR (TREPR) spectroscopy was used to study the low lying photoexcited state of a series of fullerene C(sub 60) adducts in a partially oriented phase. The fullerenes show a biaxial alignment, which allows to fully determine the 'ZFS' and 'g' tensors, that is, their principal values and the orientation of the principal axes in the molecular skeleton.

Molecular motion of isolated linear alkanes in nanochannels

Article Abstract:

The mobility of a series of linear alkanes in their inclusion compound with tris(o-phenylenedioxy)-spirotriphosphazene is examined by high-resolution carbon-proton magic-angle spinning solid-state NMR spectroscopy. Ageing effects were attributed to clustering of the remaining alkane in the intact parts of the nanochannels structure.

Dynamics of the triplet state of a dithiophene in different solid matrixes studied by transient and pulse EPR techniques

Article Abstract:

The photoexcited triplet state of a 4-4'-disubstituted dithiophene was investigated by time-resolved electron paramagnetic resonance in two different solid matrixes-glassy toluene. The different spectral line shapes with different temperature dependence were obtained using continuous-wave or spin-echo detection.
