Schiemann Industrielacke GmbH, a Hanover-based producer of industrial coatings, has been acquired by Berlin-based Lankwitzer Lackfabrik GmbH & Co. KG. The company was sold by Mr Michael Schiemann in a deal backdated to the beginning of year 2000. It will continue to operate as an independent unit.

GERMANY: FLH TAKES OVER REGENSBURGER LACKFABRIK

Regensburger Lackfabrik GmbH, a German Regensburg-based manufacturer of industrial coatings, pencil coatings and knife-coats, has been taken over by Swiss FLH group. FLH group, which is controlled by the Looser family, employs just under 400 staff. Through the acquisition in Germany, the turnover of the group rises to about EUR 77mn.

German Hamburg-based Avecia has sold its Novacote activities to Coim SpA, an Italian family enterprise. The Novacote division comprises specialist laminate adhesives and coatings for flexible packaging and generates an annual turnover of EUR 37.8mn.
