Glutamic acid cation based ionic liquids: microwave synthesis, characterization, and theoretical study

Article Abstract:

The studies were conducted to explore the physicochemical properties of newly synthesized members of amino acid ionic liquids (ILs) with glutamic acid (Glu) cations. The close relation observed between the experimental melting points and the intramolecular interaction indicates that the small absolute value of the biding energy between ions is influenced by the lower melting point.

Nonasymptotic critical behavior of a ternary ionic system

Article Abstract:

The study of the coexistence curve of the ternary system 1,4-dioxane + water + potassium chloride (KCl) in the presence of an excess of the salt shows no indication of either critical mean field or multicritical behavior. The results have concluded that this system shows no indication of multicritical behavior.

Laser light-scattering study of the solution dynamics of water/cycloether mixtures

Article Abstract:

The interaction between cycloethers and water is probed, by investigating the complexation of tetrahydrofuran and 1,4-dioxane with different mixture of water, by laser light scattering (LLS) technique. The study gives and insight to the understanding of the structure of liquid and the solution dynamics.
