Glyme-lithium salt phase behavior

Article Abstract:

The phase diagrams of glyme-lithium salt (LiX) mixtures are reported. The phase diagrams have illustrated how solvate formation and thermophysical properties are dictated by the ionic association strength of the salt and chain length of the solvating molecules, which has further provided critical predictive capabilities for solvate formation and ionic interactions common in organometallic reagents and battery electrolytes.

Rapid synthesis of carbon nanotubes by solid-state metathesis reactions

Article Abstract:

The rapid synthesis of carbon nanotubes is enabled by the solid-state exchange reactions between carbon halides and lithium acetylide catalyzed by cobalt dichloride. Calculations show that the reaction temperature can be lowered by up to 61 K by increasing the length of the carbon chain.

electrolytic complexes: studies based on electrical spectroscopy

Article Abstract:

Poly(ehtyleneglycol 400)/(LiCl)x electrolytes present conductivities on the order of 10(super -4)Scm(super -1) at 25 degrees Celsius is the highlighted study. This permits classification of these materials as good liquid polymer electrolytes.
