Greener water treatment with ferrate (VI)

Article Abstract:

Ferrate (VI) is widely used as an oxidizing agent, but there are few ways to produce a stable form of its cation on a commercial scale. Battelle researchers have developed an environment-friendly technology to produce ferrate (VI) using readily available and inexpensive raw materials. Th e potential application of ferrate (VI) in water treatment also discussed .
