High-pressure studies of optical dephasing in polymer glasses

Article Abstract:

The effect of high pressure on the optical dephasing of chromophores in organic polymers is evaluated within the stochastic sudden jump two-level system (TLS) model. The modeling was able to account for the observed pressure-induced changes in the slope of the apparent power low temperature dependence even assuming a flat TLS distribution for all pressures.

Electrical relaxation of bismuth germanate silicate glasses

Article Abstract:

The frequency-dependent electrical data of the bismuth germanate silicate (BGSO) glasses are discussed in the framework of the electric modulus representation and the power-law conductivity. The proper relation between the exponent of the power-law conductivity and the stretched exponential of the modulus representation is shown.
