Influence of a nanoscale gold thin layer on Ti/SnO2-Sb2O5 Electrodes

Article Abstract:

A nanoscale gold thin film and its influence on Ti/SnO2-Sb2O5 coating are investigated with the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical methods such as cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and the chronopotentiometric technique in both acidic and caustic solutions. It is seen that the presence of a nanoscale Au thin film on the Ti substrate can effectively prevent the growth of a TiO2 insulating layer between the substrate and the SnO2-Sb2O5 coating.

Architecture of macromolecular network of soft functional materials: from structure to function

Article Abstract:

The topological aspect of the macromolecular nanofiber network of agarose aqueous solution is observed using the field emission scanning electronic microscopy coupled with flash-freeze-dying. These studies show that the nanofiber network in soft materials forms through a self-expitaxial nucleation-controlled process.

Self-assembled monolayers of omega-biphenylalkanethiols on Au(111): Influence of spacer chain on molecular packing

Article Abstract:

The scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) technique was used for examining the self-assembled monolayers (SAM) of omega-(4'-methylbiphenyl-4-yl) alkanethiols on Au(111) substrates. The formation of gold islands for the preparation of BP1 at 343 K is discussed.
