Interaction of hydrophobically modified cationic dextran hydrogels with biological surfactants

Article Abstract:

The interaction of cross-linked cationic dextran hydrogels having 20-25 mol % N-alkyl-N,N-dimethylammonium chloride pendant groups with sodium salts of some bile acids is studied. A strong influence of the substituent R length on the binding parameters characterizes the binding of the bile salts to functionalized dextran hydrogels having N,N-dimethyl-N-R-ammonium chloride, where R represents C2-C12 alkyl chain.

Interaction of sodium poly (2-acrylamide-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonate) linear polymer and gel with metal salts

Article Abstract:

Concentration of the salts and the charge of metal ion on swelling behavior, composition and structure of the gels poly (PAMPS) salts in aqueous medium are studied. The existence of the reentrant conformational transition in the anionic PAMPS gel is due to the increase of concentration of trivalent metal cations in the solutions.

Interaction forces on alpha-alumina surfaces with coadsorption of anionic/nonionic surfactant mixtures

Article Abstract:

Through surface force measurements, coadsorption behaviors from anionic/nonionic surfactant mixtures on alpha-alumina are presented. The interaction forces are remarkably different for the simultaneous addition of the two surfactants.
