Interactions between heme proteins and dextran sulfate in layer-by-layer assembly films

Article Abstract:

An investigation was conducted on the interaction between the proteins and dextran sulfate under different conditions and the driving forces for the layer-by-layer (LBL) film assembly were explored. The results indicate that electrostatic interaction is the most important driving force for the film assembly.

Self-diffusion of native proteins and dextran in heat-set globular protein gels

Article Abstract:

The pulsed field gradient nuclear magnetic resonance (PFG-NMR) was used to determine the self-diffusion coefficient of both native protein and dextran in heat-set globular gels. The PFG-NMR technique was found to be a powerful technique to study the structure of protein gels.
