Article Abstract:

German Krupp Uhde GmbH will set up a turnkey granulating facility for Irish Fertilizer Industry (IFI) in Arklow, Ireland. The facility will process the liquid nitrate of ammonium of the existing fertiliser complex in Arklow. With a capacity of 1,400 tons per day, the plant is due to start operation in September 1999. The facility is friendly to the environment because waste water will be reprocessed.

GERMANY: KIESERITE INVESTMENT BY K&S

Article Abstract:

K&S is spending about DM 77mn on the construction of a 300,000-tpy production plant for kieserite fertiliser in Sigmundshall. The plant that is to become operative in mid-2001 will use an electrostatic separation technology developed by the Kassel-based company. The reserves of the Bokeloh deposit are estimated to secure kieserite production for 20 years.
