Lateral diffusion of the reconstituted dialkyl viologen monolayer at the air/water interface studied with electrochemistry

Article Abstract:

The reconstituted dialkyl viologen monolayer at the air/water interface was studied as a model system of the biomembrane for the study f lateral diffusion of the electroactive viologen moiety lateral diffusion of biomembrane molecules has key functions for the life phenomena. The investigation led to the determination of the lateral diffusion of the viologen moiety of dialkyl viologenes at the air/water interface with electrochemical techniques using a microband electrode.

Preparation of a vast CoFe2O4 magnetic monolayer by Langmuir-Blodgett technique

Article Abstract:

Pressure-area isotherm curves and Brewster Angle Microscope (BAM) were used for examining the formation and stability of a Langmuir monolayer of the surface coated CoFe2O4 nanocrystallites with oleate at the air/water interface. The well-separated domains of nanocrystallites transformed into well-compressed, monoparticulate layers, due to the increase in surface pressure.
