Ligand-controlling synthesis and ordered assembly of ZnS nanorods and nanodots

Article Abstract:

The shape- and phase-controlled of ZnS nanocrystals was realized by the selection of ligand molecules with a simple method of thermolysing single-source precursor-zinc ethylxanthate with octylamine or trioctylphosphine as precursor solvent. The mechanism of the shape- and phase-controlled growth of ZnS crystals by selecting ligand molecules was analyzed.

Self-assembly of gold nanoparticles prepared with 3,4-Ethylenedioxythiophene as reductant

Article Abstract:

3,4-Ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) was used as a novel reductant for preparing gold nanoparticles in THF solution with the concurrent formation of the produced polymer (PEDOT). The homogeneous gold nanoparticles were obtained with dioctylamice as the stabilizer and they could self-assemble into an ordered structure.

Effect of branched conjugation structure on the optical, electrochemical, hole mobility, and photovoltaic properties of polythiophenes

Article Abstract:

Four branched polythiophenes (PTs) with different ratios of conjugated terthiophene-vinylene side chains are synthesized by Stille coupling reaction. The results have shown that the branched PTs with suitable content of the terthiophenevinylene side chains might be promising photovoltaic materials.
