Light scattering and luminescence studies on self-aggregation behavior of amphiphilic copolymer micelles

Article Abstract:

The self-aggregation behavior of amphiphilic graft copolymers with different architectures is analyzed by dynamic and static light scattering in combination with fluorescence spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The micelle size and aggregation behavior are controlled by changing the length of the oligofluorene backbones and the position of the hydrophilic blocks linked to the backbones.

Morphologies of large-pore periodic mesoporous organosilicas

Article Abstract:

A systematic investigation on the morphologies of SBA-15 type large-pore periodic mesoporous organosilicas templated by the block copolymer P123 is reported. By tuning synthetic parameters, a wide spectrum of unique primary particle morphologies, platelike particles, and nanoparticles are prepared.

Synthesis of large-pore methylene-bridged periodic mesoporous organosilicas and its implications

Article Abstract:

The synthesis of methylene-bridged periodic mesoporous organosilicates (PMOs) of the SBA-15 type is demonstrated. It is concluded that inductive, bridging, and conformation effects of the organic bridging group play an important role in the synthesis of large-pore PMO materials.
