Lithium ion effect injection from a photoexcited coumarin derivative into a TiO2 nanocrystalline film investigated by visible-to-IR ultrafast spectroscopy

Article Abstract:

The dynamics of ultrafast electron injection from a coumarin derivative, which is an efficient photosensitizer for dye-sensitized solar cells, into the conduction band of TiO2 nanocrystalline films are investigated by means of femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy in a wide wavelength range from 600 nm to 10 Mum. The electron injection efficiency was found to increase by a factor of 1.37 in the presence of Li (super +) ions.

Charge transfer and recombination kinetics at electrodes of molecular semiconductors investigated by intensity modulated photo current spectroscopy

Article Abstract:

Vapor-deposited thin films of phthalocyaninatozinc(II) (PcZn), hexadecafluorophthalocyaninatozinc(II)(F16PcZn), and N,N-dimethyl perylene tetracarcarboxylic acid diimide (MePTCDI) were investigated. The results are rationalized by the rates of competing reactions, and implications for the use of such films in chemical sensors and organic photovoltaic are discussed.

Photoelectrochemical behavior of nanostructured TiO2 thin-film electrodes in contact with aqueous electrolytes containing dissolved pollutants: A model for distinguishing between direct and indirect interfacial hole-transfer from photocurrent measurements

Article Abstract:

A model is presented for describing the photoelectrochemical behavior of nanostructured TiO2 thin-film electrodes in contact with aqueous electrolytes containing dissolved pollutant species. The model is used to study the photooxidation of aqueous solutions of formic acid and methanol.
