Luminescent properties of pure cubic phase Y(sub 2)O(sub 3)/Eu(super 3+) nanotubes/nanowires prepared by a hydrothermal method

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to examine the luminescent properties including electronic transition processes, local environments surrounding Eu(super 3+) ions, electron-phonon coupling and the UV light irradiation induced changes in one-dimensional pure cubic Y(sub 2)O(sub 3)/Eu(sub 3+) nanocrystals (NCs) synthesized by a hydrothermal method. The results indicate that the Y(sub 2)O(sub 3)/Eu(sub 3+) NTs and nanowires have strong red (super 5)D(sub 0)-(super 7)F(sub 2) transitions.

Luminescent properties of LaPO4:Eu nanoparticles and nanowires

Article Abstract:

Nanoparticles (NPs) and nanowires (NWs) as well as micrometer (MPs) and micrometer rods (MRs) of LaPO4:Eu phosphors are synthesized by the hydrothermal method. The luminescent properties, including local symmetry surrounding Eu(super 3+) ions and electronic transition processes, are studied and compared.

Electronic transition and energy transfer processes in LaPO4-Ce(super 3+)/Tb(super 3+) nanowires

Article Abstract:

Ce(super 3+) and Tb(super 3+) coactivated LaPO4 nanowires and micrometer rods are synthesized by hydrothermal methods. The results indicate that the extinction coefficients of Ce(super 3+) and Tb(super 3+) in nanowires are higher than those in micrometer rods.
