Mesophase transitions surface functionalization, and growth mechanism of semiconducting 6PTTP6 films from solution

Article Abstract:

The solution deposition of a semiconductor oligomer, 5,5'-bis(4-hexylphenyl)-2,2'-bithiophene (6PTTP6) from the relatively nonotoxic xylene solvent is studied. The effect of surface functional groups affixed to the dielectric substrate on the grain appearance and film mobility is examined to determine optimal fabrication conditions for films with usable mobility, high on/off ratio, and good uniformity.

Rotator phase and surface crystallization in alpha-eicosene

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the rotator phases and surface crystallization of alpha-eicosene by surface and bulk X-ray scattering methods and surface tensiometry. The Rigaku 18 kW rotating anode generator was utilized to carry out the X-ray scattering experiments. Experimental results indicated that the alpha-olefin alpha-eicosene's behavior was similar to the corresponding n-alkane.

Competition between surface layering and surface phase formation in dilute liquid Hg-Au alloys

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the surface-normal structure liquid Hg-Au alloys near a room temperature solubility limit of 0.14% atom % Au in Hg by the use of synchroton X-ray reflectivity are discussed.
