Metal cluster support interactions in the Cu/ZnO system: a OM/MM study

Article Abstract:

A hybrid OM/MM embedding model within the computational chemistry package ChemShell is applied, to study in detail the interaction of copper atoms and clusters in various, potentially important catalytic oxidation states (Cu, Cu+, and Cu2+) on polar surfaces. The model is applied to copper atoms, ions and clusters (Cu sub n, n=1,4) on the zinc-terminated (0001) surface of ZnO.

Flow field effect on electric double layer during streaming potential measurements

Article Abstract:

An attempt is made to examine the effect pf flow field on the electric double layer distribution by means of a dilute electrolyte in a streaming potential mode for a 40 macrometer parallel-plate microchannel. By means of a current continuity equation, the numerical simulation results of potential distribution for pressure-driven flow with electrokinetic effects are presented.

From complex chains to one-dimensional metal oxides: a novel strategy to Cu2O nanowires

Article Abstract:

A new strategy is introduced wherein small complexes are combined with linear metal cations to produce metal oxide nanowires. The copper oxide monocrytalline nanowires are made through the complex precursor surfactant assisted route.
