Mixed micelles composed of pepties and gadolinium complexes as tumor-specific contrast agents in MRI: A SANS study

Article Abstract:

A simple analytic theory was derived to show that when the electric current was steady, the electro-osmotic flow remained pluglike regardless of the temperature profile inside the capillary due to Joule heating and nonuniform surrounding convection. The temperature-insensitive behavior was caused by the cancellation of the temperature effects.

Evolution of catalytic activity of Au-Ag bimetallic nanoparticles on mesoporous support for CO oxidation

Article Abstract:

A novel Au-Ag alloy catalyst supported on mesoporous aluminosilicate prepared by a one-pot synthesis procedure, which is very active for low-temperature CO oxidation, is reported. A DFT calculation shows that CO and O2 coadsorption on neighboring sites on the Au-Ag alloy was stronger than that on either Au or Ag.

Gadolinium(III)-incorporated nanosized mesoporous silica as potential magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents

Article Abstract:

A new class of potential magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents with nanosized mesoporous silica as the metal carrier is reported. Gadolinium-incorporated mesoporous silicas were synthesized by using long-chain surfactant as a template.
