High-yield protein production with special E. coli strains

Wacker Chemi e has created the Wacker Secretion System that can transfer recombinant products in natural form into the fermentation bro th during cultivation, using Escherichia coli K 12 strain . The firm has also developed a cysteine production method using this bacteria. The scope of and steps in these methods are discussed.
