Molecular assembled self-doped polyaniline interlayer for application in polymer light-emitting diode

Article Abstract:

The versatility of combining the immersing self-assembly and copolymerization techniques to build a well-defined, ultrathin, and continuous conducting Self-doped polyaniline (SPANI) interlayer on the indium tin oxide (ITO) surface as a first step in constructing a polymer light-emitting diode (PLED) is demonstrated. The conducting SPANI interlayer was found to enhance both carrier injection and electroluminescence efficiency, achieving a high LED brightness.

Determination of stability and degradation in polysilanes by an electronic mechanism

Article Abstract:

The relative stability and the mechanisms of degradation of four polysilanes, which are reported as active materials in light emitting diodes are investigated theoretically. The correlation of the calculated results with experimental observations suggests that one of the causes of degradation in polysilanes can be the scission of Si-Si bonds in the excited state and that some stabilization is possible when a stable excited state exists.

Anomalous narrowing of the structural relaxation dispersion of tris(dimethylsiloxy) phenylsilane at elevated pressures

Article Abstract:

Broadband dielectric relaxation data of a siloxyl-based glass-former, tris(dimethylsiloxy)phenylsilane (TDMSPS) is reported. Its alpha-relaxation dispersion narrows at elevated pressures and temperature at a constant tau(sub alpha), in contrast to broadening exhibited by some of the hydrogen-bonded glass-formers.
