Coil-globule transition of pyrene-labeled polystyrene in cyclohexane: determination of polymer chain radii by fluorescence

Article Abstract:

The coil-globule transition of a polystyrene chain in cyclohexane is studied. The use of fluorescence is a reliable technique for studying the transitions in dilute solutions of low-molecular-weight polymers where stable globules exist without the interference of polymer aggregates in a large temperature interval.

Molecular dynamics of a polymer in mixed solvent: Atactic polystyrene in a mixture of cyclohexane and N,N-dimethylformamide

Article Abstract:

Local structural and dynamic properties of atactic polystyrene in a mixed solvent of cyclohexane (CH) and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) are investigated using molecular dynamics simulations. End-to-end distances and structures factors are employed to describe the static structure of polystyrene chains.

High-pressure studies of cyclohexane to 40 GPa

Article Abstract:

The X-ray powder diffraction studies of cyclohexane subjected to variable pressures from 3.5 GPa to 40 GPa at room temperature. The triclinic unit cell symmetry was observed at all the pressures while the monoclinic unit cell structure was observed only at low pressures below 7GPa.
