Molecular passivation of mercury-silicon (p-type) diode junctions: Alkylation, oxidation, and alkylsilation

Article Abstract:

A clear assessment of the correlation between electrical performance and passivation method involved in the fabrication of modified mercury-silicon (p-type) junctions is reported. The results show that mercury-silicon junctions modified with n-dodecyl monolayer display better rectifying behavior, than those passivated with SiO2 thin films and n-dodecylsiloxane monolayers.

The isobutylene-isobutane alkylation in liquid HF revisited

Article Abstract:

Details on the mechanism of HF catalyzed isobutylene-isobutane alkylation are investigated. The computational results indicate that the density of the liquid media and stirring rates are the most important parameters to achieve maximum yield of alkylate, in agreement with experimental findings.

Absorption of mercury in gold films and its further desorption: Quantitative morphological study of the surface patterns

Article Abstract:

The full morphological analysis of the surface pattern formed in the absorption of mercury in thin gold films is discussed. The evaporation of mercury leads to the shrinkage in domains and their shapes become more circular.
