Nb2O5 'Pathway effect' on hydrogen sorption in Mg

Article Abstract:

The hydrogen sorption mechanism by an extensive microstructural, chemical, and crystalline characterization of samples based on the Mg[H.sub.2]/[Nb.sub.2][O.sub.5] system is studied. On the basis of extensive chemical, crystalline, and microstructural characterization of the Mg[H.sub.2]/[Nb.sub.2][O.sub.5] nanopowder system A 'pathway model' is proposed, which explains the kinetic hydrogen sorption improvement by a formation of pathways of niobium oxide species with lower oxidation state that facilitate the hydrogen transport in to the sample.

The effect of different neutral ligands on photoluminescence and electroluminescence properties of ternary terbium complexes

Article Abstract:

The mechanism of how the neutral ligands affect photoluminescence (PL) and electroluminescence (EL) properties of terbium complexes is investigated. Experimental results indicate that neutral ligands strongly affect the terbium complexes PL quantum yield due to their different excited singlet and triplet energy levels.
