New analysis of oxidation state and coordination environment of copper ion-exchanged in ZSM-5 zeolite

Article Abstract:

Research was conducted to examine the changes in the structure and electronic state of copper ion species during the heat treatment of copper ion-exchanged ZSM-5 zeolite as well as the interaction with CO molecules. The methodologies used included electron spin resonance, infrared and emission spectroscopy, X-ray absorption fine structure, an extended X-ray absorption fine structure and through the calculations of adsorption and adsorption isotherm. Results indicate that there are at least two kinds of sites in the copper ion-exchanged ZSM-5 zeolite.

CH4/CD4 isotope effect and the mechanism of partial oxidation of methane to synthesis gas over Rh/gamma-Al2O3 catalyst

Article Abstract:

Pulse istope effect experiments for the partial oxidation of CH4 (CD4) to synthesis gas over Rh/gamma-Al2O3 catalysts, along with CH4 pulse experiments over the same catalysts, show that the mechanism of oxidation depends on the loading of the catalyst and the reaction temperature.
