New approach to the formation mechanism of AgCl nanoparticles in a reverse micelle system

Article Abstract:

The fundamental mechanism of the particle formation of AgCl in a reverse micelle (RM) system, using a double jet technique is studied. The role of RM as a monomeric solute species in organic media and the dramatic reduction of the substantial solubility of the precipitate appear to be a general characteristic for the particle formation in RM systems.

Fast diffusion of the Cl(super -) ion in the headgroup region of an oppositely charged micelle. A (super 35)Cl NMR spin relaxation study

Article Abstract:

Field-dependent (super 35)Cl spin relaxation rates are measured in the micelles solution of C16TACl-D2). The results characterize the nanosecond-scale (D(super lat)) and nanosecond-scale (J(sub f)) molecular dynamics of the Cl(super -) ion in the vicinity of an oppositely charged micellar surface.

Fast diffusion of Br- ions on a micellar surface

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the determination of the field-dependent spin relaxation rates of 81Br by NMR are discussed. It has been established that the Br- counterions diffuse around one order of magnitude more rapidly than the C16TA+ molecules.
