New approach to the investigation of mechanisms and apparent activation energies for the reduction of metal oxides using constant reaction rate temperature-programmed reduction

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted relating to research on the application of temperature programmed reduction (TPR) to qualitatively investigate metal oxides and catalyst systems. A new technique based on both constant rate thermal analysis and conventional linear heating was developed to address numerous problems associated with the use of TPR studies of metal oxides. Experimental methodology, results and implications are discussed.

Preparation and investigation of thermolysis of L-Aspartic acid-intercalated layered double hydroxide

Article Abstract:

The intercalation of L-Aspartic acid into magnesium-aluminum layered double hydroxides by co precipitation is examined. The intercalated material is studied by X-ray diffraction, inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy, and elemental analysis.
