Ordered porous carbons with tunable pore sizes as catalyst supports in direct methanol fuel cell

Article Abstract:

Ordered uniform porous carbon frameworks with high surface areas and large pore volumes are synthesized against removable colloidal silica crystalline templates by carbonization of phenol and formaldehyde as a carbon precursor. The porous carbon demonstrated highest performance with power densities of 167 mW/cm2 at 70 degrees C, which corresponds to a 43 per cent increase in the catalytic activity for methanol oxidation in the fuel cell as compared to that of the commercially available Pt-Ru catalyst.

Photocatalytic activities of noble metal ion doped SrTiO3 under visible light irradiation

Article Abstract:

A systematic study of the ability of various functional forms to model many-body effects have been presented. An accurate fit of the diatomic molecule is presented and used to test the ability of several functional forms to correct the two-body interaction on the presence of various atomic environments.

Fabrication of bimodal porous silicate with silicalite-1 core/mesoporous shell structures and synthesis of nonspherical carbon and silica nanocases with hollow core/mesoporous shell structures

Article Abstract:

An attempt is made to modify the shape and nanostructure of core-shell materials, which are usually generated on the basis of amorphous spherical cores. Novel core-shell silicate particles each of which consists of a silicalite-1 zeolite crystal core and mesoporous shell (ZCMS) were synthesized.
