Photoinduced electron transfer in arylacridinium conjugates in a solid glass matrix

Article Abstract:

A transient spectroscopic probe of five 9-aryl-10-methylacridinium conjugates in solid sucrose octaacetate (SOA) glassy media is done to determine the intramolecular charge-transfer properties. It is concluded that the red-edge effect (excitation wavelength-dependent fluorescence) for the arylacridinium ions in solid glass ratifies the microheterogeneity of the sucrose octaacetate medium.

Reaction of porous silicon with both end-functionalized organic compounds bearing alpha-bromo and omega-carboxy groups for immobilization of biomolecules

Article Abstract:

Two alpha-bromo and omega-caboxy compounds, 11-bromo-undecanoic acid and 3-bromopropanoic acid were assembled on the hydrogen-terminated porous silicon surface under microwave irradiation. The resulting carboxylic acid monolayers were converted to amino-reactive linker, N-hydroxysuccinimide ester, terminated monolayers.

Experimental studies of heterogeneous nucleation in the turbulent mixing condensation nuclei counter

Article Abstract:

A method for varying the superannuation in a turbulent mixing condensation nuclei counter is used to examine heterogeneous nucleation of different compounds on various nuclei's compositions. Heterogeneous nucleation was examined at various pressures of dibutylphthalate, octadecane, octadecanol, and octadecanoic acid.
