Photophysical properties of silver(I)-exchanged zeolite A and the photoassisted degradation of Malathion

Article Abstract:

The spectroscopy study of the different colored silver A zeolites showing the presence of Ag(sub n)(super m)(super +) oligomers in the A-type zeolite are highlighted. The result reveals that the large size of Malathion prevents its entrapment in the zeolite channels; therefore, the photodecomposition process and the catalytic silver clusters must occur on the silver A surface.

Crystal structures of fully indium exchanged zeolite X

Article Abstract:

Fully indium-exchanged zeolite X is prepared by solvent-free redox ion-exchange of fully dehydrated fully T1(super +)-exchanged zeolite with In metal at 50 degree Celsius. Electron-probe microanalysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction showed the product to be an indium aluminosilicate free of thallium.

Study of type-A zeolites. Part 1: Mechanism of He and Ne encapsulation

Article Abstract:

The mechanism of ambient pressure encapsulation of He and Ne in the alpha and beta crystalline cages of type-A zeolites is demonstrated. Reversible and highly selective gas admission and entrapment are readily achieved at characteristic temperatures occurring between 77 and 570 K.
