Mondo Minerals Oy will be one of the leading suppliers of talcum to the European paper and coatings industries. The company was created in the merger of Norwegian Talc AS and Westmin Talc BV with Finnminerals Oy. It has production plants with a combined annual capacity of 600,000 tonnes in Finland, Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands and technology centres in Finland and the Netherlands. Pluess-Staufer AG of Switzerland, which together with WMC of Australia, was owner of Norwegian Talc and Westmin Talc, will handle the sales of Mondo Minerals in Europe and North Africa. *
