Polarization effects of confocal Raman microspectrometry of crystal powders using interactive self-modeling analysis

Article Abstract:

The collection by confocal Raman microspectrometry in the motorized point-by-point scanning mode of crystal samples with heterogeneity larger than the spatial resolution generates large amounts of useable Raman spectral data. It is clear that the data processing using the Simplisma approach provides exhaustive species identification and molecular imaging of complex media.

A class of nonplanar conjugated compounds with aggregation-induced emission: Structural and optical properties of 2,5-diphenyl-1,4-distyrylbenzene derivatives with all cis double bonds

Article Abstract:

The structural and optical properties of four 2,5-diphenyl-1,4-distyrylbenzene derivatives with all cis double bonds is studied. The torsional molecular configuration increases the intermolecular distances effectively in the crystalline state, which decreases the differences of the optical properties from the frozen isolated molecules to the crystalline state.

Polarized surface-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy on coupled metallic nanowires

Article Abstract:

Well-defined silver nanowires are synthesized for a systematic study of surface-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) signal with respect to polarization and structural ordering. The observed dependence on polarization direction confirms prior theoretical predictions that large eletromagnetic fields are localized in the interstitials between adjacent nanowires.
