Polymer Nanocomposites containing superstructures of self-organized platinum colloids

Article Abstract:

Colloidal platinum in styrene was prepared in situ by reduction of a platinum(II) compound followed by partial evaporation of styrene. It was found that the formation of the superstructures in the nanocomposites is induced by crystallization of alkyl chains adsorbed at the platinum surface below momolayer coverage.

Article Abstract:

The photochemical and photophysical investigation of a series of four platinum acetylide complexes containing 4-ethynystillbene (4-ES) ligands is described. The structure and reactivity of the lowest excited states in pi-conjugated Pt-acetylides is examined.

Surface-enhanced Raman study of cyanide adsoprtion at the platinum surface

Article Abstract:

A highly sensitive confocal microprobe Raman system was used to reflect the adsorbate and substrate bonding. The enhancement factor for the adsorbed CN(super -) was about 150.
