Presence of two freezing-in processes concerning alpha-glass transition in the new liquid phase of triphenyl phosphite and its consistency with "cluster structure" and "intracluster rearrangement for alpha process" models
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to investigate two amorphous or liquid phases of triphenyl phosphite. High precision x-ray diffraction patterns were derived for these two phases designated as Ln, for the normally condensed liquid phase and Lc, for the highly correlated liquid phase. An Lc-phase sample was prepared by annealing the Ln-phase sample at 210 K and other Lc-phase samples were formed by annealing the obtained Lc-phase sample at 215 and 220 K. The most remarkable finding is that there exists two relaxation processes in the phase.

Molecular structure of a D-homoandrostanyl steroid derivative: Single crystal and powder diffraction analysis
Article Abstract:
The crystallographic structure of a steroid derivative molecule, 17,17-di-n-propyl-17a-aza-D-homo-5alpha-androstan-3beta-ol is obtained from a single crystal by laboratory X-ray and from a polycrystalline powder by high-resolution synchrotron powder diffraction. The molecule crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P[2.sub.1][2.sub.1][2.sub.1] (a = 6.5346, b = 17.6006 and C = 19.6978 Angstrom) and the hydrogen bonds from infinite chains of molecules parallel to the c axis.
