Article Abstract:

Piriformospora indica is a cultivable endophyte that colonizes plants. Plant growth and biomass production is induced by inoculation with the fungus and application of fungal culture filtrate. The fungus is an ideal organism for the study of beneficial plant-microbe interactions due to its ease of culture. Moreover, it provides a mechanism for improving commercial plant production systems and may find application in agroforestry and florihorticulture.

It has been possible to formulate a scenario for high-Tc superconductivity by using ab initio quantum chemistry as the experimental probe. The cluster model appears to express efficiently a possible interpretation of the spin-flip anomaly.
