Radical-like activation of alkanes by the ligated copper oxide cation (Phenanthroline)CuO

Article Abstract:

The generation of a complex of the copper oxide cation CuO(super +) with 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), which is generated by means of electrospray ionization (ESI) of copper(II) nitrate solution in methanol/water in the presence of phen is reported. Further density functional theory (DFT) is applied on a variety of relevant minimum structures to obtain some thermochemical insights for the suggested key intermediates along reaction pathways.

Well-aligned arrays of CuO nanoplatelets

Article Abstract:

The well-aligned arrays of CuO nanoplatelets synthesized through a hydrothermal route without template's assistance are reported. The arrays of CuO nanoplatelets exhibited the blue shift in ultraviolet--visible spectra, a slow capacity fading rate, and a relatively high Coulombic efficiency in charge-discharge process.

Electrochemistry and electrocatalysis of haemoglobin in nafion/nano-CaC[O.sub.3] film on a new ionic liquid BPP[F.sub.6] modified carbon paste electrode

Article Abstract:

A new carbon ionic liquid electrode BPP[F.sub.6] is constructed which exhibits enhanced electrochemical behavior as compared with the traditional carbon paste electrode with paraffin. The presence of BPP[F.sub.6] in the carbon paste electrode provided a highly conductive and biocompatible interface.
