SWITZERLAND: FLH EXPANDS WITH WENGER

In Switzerland, the FLH group, which is owned by the Looser family, is expanding in the field of wood varnishes by taking over the full stock of Gumligen-based A. Wenger AG. The latter specialises in water-based wood varnishes and etches. FLH, which has production plants in Switzerland and neighbouring countries, employs 350 staff. The acquisition raises the company's turnover to more than EUR 60mn.

in Switzerland, the Grellingen-based company Pentol AG has been taken over by FLH, a paint producer controlled by the Looser family. Pentol is a producer of wood coatings. The acquisition raises the turnover of FLH group to EUR 80mn and the number of staff to about 400.
